Furthering your studies can greatly benefit your career, however, juggling work and studies can be a little tricky. Join us for our first WomEng Connect Event of the year on how to thrive while working and studying.

We will be unpacking tips and tricks with our guest speakers, Bongekile Matsenjwa, an Integrated Lean Six-Sigma Engineer (IL6S) currently completing her PhD in Engineering Management and Busisiwe Manabe, an Electrical Design Technologist who completed her Postgraduate Diploma in 2021 while working full time.


About Bongekile Matsenjwa

Bongekile Matsenjwa completed her Chemical Engineering Undergraduate, Honours, and Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Pretoria. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Engineering Management from the University of Cape Town. Bongekile works as an Integrated Lean Six-Sigma Engineer (IL6S) for Mondelez International in Matsapha, Eswatini where she has been working for the past five years.

About Busisiwe Manabe

Busisiwe Manabe is an Electrical Design Technologist, at Matleng Energy Solutions, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She completed her National Diploma and Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering at the University of Johannesburg. As a young professional who aims to contribute meaningfully in the Just Energy Transition, Busisiwe completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, in the field of Energy Leadership, at Wits Business School, in 2021. She will pursue a Master of Sustainable Energy Engineering in 2023, while she continues to work towards professional registration.
